Antivirus 2008 or Antivirus 2009 is same and is a rogue anti-malware program that displays false results and requires you to first purchase the software before you can remove anything. When installed, Antivirus 2008 will scan your computer and list a variety of infections found on your computer. When most anti-malware programs, and even rogue ones, scan your computer they will list the infections as specific registry keys or files. Antivirus 2008 or Antivirus 2009 moves away from this tradition and instead is very general about what is infected. For example, you can see in the scan results screenshot below that Antivirus 2008 or Antivirus 2009 states there are a variety of infections in the C:\Windows folder. What it does not tell you are the specific files that are bad. Delete registry values:

• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Antivirus
• HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run\”Antivirus” = “%ProgramFiles%\Antivirus 2009\Antvrs.exe”
• HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Antivirus

Unregister DLLs:

• shlwapi.dll
• wininet.dll

Delete files:

• av2009.exe av2009install.exe av2009install_0011.exe
• av2009[1].exe
• Antivirus2009.exe
• ieupdates.exe
• scui.cpl
• winsrc.dll
• winsrc.dll ieupdates.exe av2009install_0011.exe
• av2009install.exe
• %program_files%\\antivirus 2009\\av2009.exe
• %program_files%\\antivirus 2009\\av2009.exe
• %startmenu%\\antivirus 2009\\antivirus 2009.lnk
• %startmenu%\\antivirus 2009\\uninstall antivirus 2009.lnk
• %desktopdirectory%\\antivirus 2009.lnk

Delete directories:

• C:\Program Files\Antivirus 2009

After you delete all file make sure you reboot your PC for see the result.
